Concept Training - Working at Heights
About the Course
This course is designed to give trainees competent knowledge and skills to assess the related risks, select effective control measures to adequately safeguard and prevent potential falls from height, that could lead to serious injuries or fatalities.The trainees will learn the required knowledge as per AS 1891 (Industrial Fall Arrest System) and AS 2626 (Industrial Safety Belts and Harness Selection), and AS 4626 (Industrial Fall Arrest Device Selection, use and maintenance).

This course should be attended by all employees, who will supervise work at heights and those who are actually going to perform work at heights.
What do you need to know?
Legislation requiring work at heights and some knowledge on Australian Standards such as AS 1891, 2626 & 4626, but not essential.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
Conduct and document a formal risk assessment & control using a JSA;
Demonstrate correct steps in wearing of a safety harnesses and safety belts;
Correctly use and apply anchor point hardware;
Plan and prepare an emergency rescue plan for Work at Heights and;
Perform proper inspections and maintenance of Height Safety hardware (including, safety harnesses, Anchor Point and Safety belts).
