About the Course
This course is the first part of a four stage program designed to take trainees from a basic understanding of the principles and practices of Workplace Health and Safety through to a professional level of competency.
Great For
Level I should be attended by people intending to or currently practising, supervising or managing in the field of Workplace Health and Safety. Level I is a pre-requisite of Level II and must be attended for the trainee to be eligible for the Concept Training Services Workplace Health and Safety Officers Certificate.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
Develop a thorough understanding and sound knowledge of PNG Health, Safety & Welfare legislation.
Develop clear understanding of the Workplace Health & Safety Responsibilities.
Acquire knowledge & skills of Manual Handling in the workplace.
Identify Workplace Health & Hygiene and be able to take corrective actions.
Perform basic Risk Management principles, including using a Risk Score Calculator.
Conduct a Incident/Accident investigations and be able to identify the root causes to prevent recurrence of the incident/accident.
